Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice (preferably Sona masoori rice)

  • 1 cup coconut

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt (adjust according to taste)

  • 5 cups water

  • oil to make dosas (coconut oil or any one you prefer)

Steps:

  • Wash and Soak the rice for about 4 to 5 hours.

  • Drain the water and save some for grinding. Transfer the rice to a blender

  • Grind smooth with the coconut with little water.

  • Add the salt to taste and add more water to make the batter a runny consistency.

  • Make the dosas. Pour the runny batter on to a hot griddle, drizzle some oil and cover it covered.

  • It takes about a minute or two to cook. Do not flip it to the other side.

  • Serve it folded with chutney/ pickle/ podi/ stew/ honey/ rawa - accompaniment of choice

  • Serve hot and enjoy!
